The piece Roter Teppich (Red Carpet) designed for the foyer of the Stadtgalerie Kiel, responds to the multiple uses of this space. The point of departure is the red carpet that guides visitors from the entrance of the building into the exhibition rooms. It has been loosened from the floor and transformed into an independent sculptural setting whose form makes reference to the surrounding architecture. A walk-in sculpture that inscribes itself into the space and circumscribes the perception of passers-by.
